ELECTIONS and VOLUNTEERS:  It’s election time again. If you know of someone that would like to be on the Executive Board, let your voice be heard now. The Board is comprised of President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Webmaster, and Photographer.

NEW MONTHLY CAR SHOW in PALM BAY.

FYI,   This Friday night will be the initial new car show at Dunkin Donuts in Palm Bay!!

The address is 898 Palm Bay Road 5 pm – 8 pm.

Steve Borrelli has organized car shows in the past and this should be the start of a great monthly event.

WELCOME TO OUR 1st VOLKSTOBERFEST PRE-SHOW CRUISE!!

We will be departing from the Pavilion at approximately 4:15.

Below is the scheduled route:

Volkstoberfest 13 Update

Volkstoberfest 2011 is about 2 weeks away!

The Show is September 25 at the Main Wickham Park Pavilion.  Below is a glance of the some of the scheduled activities.

Thanks to all that have already sent their pre-registrations.  Below is a summary of activities for Saturday and Sunday.

If you haven’t mailed your pre-registration form, Please mail the form (attached) and your check to Cindy Amara, 1404 Delaware Ave., Malabar, FL  32950.

Please note that pre-registration forms must be postmarked by September 12^th.  Registrations received after the postmark of 9/12 will not receive a free show shirt or dash plague.

SATURDAY

• Pre-Show Cruise 4:30 pm and Cookout 5:30-8:30

Cruise:

New this year!  We will meet at the Main Wickham Park Pavilion at 4:00 pm.  Depart approximately 4:30 going across 2 causeways, along the beachside and to the host hotel, Candlewood Suites.

Cookout includes:

- Appetizers

- Choice of meat (hamburger, cheeseburger, brat or hot dog)

- Side dishes

- Dessert

- One free beverage (beer, soda or water)

-  Entries into raffles for each ticket purchased

Cost is $12 per person for the meal.

Extra beverages will be available.

• Camping and Hotel

VW Busses can camp overnight at the pavilion for a $10 donation.

Hotel accommodations at reduced rates are available at Candlewood Suites, 2930 Pineda Plaza Way.  $74.95+tax  (mention VW Show Rate)     321-821-9009.

SUNDAY:

• Gates open at 8:00 am for cars and 7:00 am for vendors
• Lunch sales will be available under the pavilion from 10:00-3:00
• Volkswagen displays from Prestige VW, Boston Lobster Feast & Geek Squad
• Bash-A-Car
• Stuff-A-Bug
• Kids Activities:  Hula Hoop Contest, Awesome Obstacle Course Jumper and Games/Prizes
• 2^nd Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest.  Sponsored by Long Doggers Grill and Brew.  Open to the first 20 entries.  How many can you eat in 5 minutes?  Winner will receive $25 cash and a trophy.  Last year’s winner ate 10 hot dogs.
• Drawing, Prizes, and Trophies

Please note:  In order to speed up the judging process and have earlier trophy presentations, judging of your car will begin approximately one hour after your car has been registered.

Driving from Melbourne on US1 North:  Pass Pineda Causeway, About 300 yards past the Viera Blvd. stoplight, you will turn right onto Robles Lane. Continue one block to 5429 Robles (on the river).

Driving from Cocoa on US1 South:  Go to Viera Blvd and make a u-turn. Go north 300 yards and turn right onto Robles Lane.  Continue one block to 5429 Robles Lane.
